It’s because they have amazing food. For real, they know what they’re doing.

I’m starting to suspect that Canada has this amazing secret to awesome-ness that the rest of us are just waiting to figure out. Before heading to British Columbia for vacation, everyone who had ever been to Canada warned us that the Canadians were the most pleasant people on the planet.

Not only are they the happiest, perkiest, and politest group of people I have ever met, but their cities are beautiful, the scenery is amazing, and the food is fantastic.

Is it all the maple syrup you guys have? Is that what makes you such a sparkly people?

I have to admit, I’m basing this claim off one trip to BC, to Victoria and Vancouver specifically, but based on reviews from others, this general sense of amazing extends to the whole country. Continue reading →
